To the readers and well-educated companions of Rural Research Quarterly, with great regret and impression, Mr. Dr. Seyed Hasan Matiei Langroudi: retired professor of the Faculty of Geography, University of Tehran, responsible director and former member of the editorial board of Rural Research Quarterly and one of the founders of this quarterly. After a lifetime of hard work and honest scientific and managerial service, they accepted the right call. We offer our condolences to his esteemed family, the scientific community, and especially the experts and those who are concerned about rural development in Iran, and we ask God's forgiveness and exaltation for the deceased.
